You forgot to change Holy Relic points into Blood Warrior points at Blood Drinker.😉

I feel like this mechanic, along with the holy relic gathering one, either limits the player too much or doesn’t have enough impact on the playstyle. Considering killing blows aren’t that frequent (they don’t get anything that helps them get killing blows do they, it wouldn’t be fair really) and the fact that the range on the corpse consume ability is small means that the points will be hard to gather. And you need to assume there will be enough bodies. The career will obviously be weaker in small scale fights, which is not something you’d want to establish from the get-go imo.

As for what I mean hard to balance not impacting the gameplay or limiting the player; for example, if you give too much of an emphasis on the mechanic points you’ll limit the player because it’s too hard to gather, and thus make the career inefficient or too reliant on tactics that deal with mechanic points (something like how BGs had to use 3 tactic slots on hate tactics to dps). On the other hand, if you don’t make the mechanic points important enough players will just ignore them and play without a mechanic.

Also, Bestial Craving seems a bit of a waste, since by the time you get to M3 you are very likely to have the points pool full. And since you won’t spend them, getting more of them for M3 doesn’t make sense.

Just some concerns I wanted to share.🙂

Haha whoops. Copy and paste ftl eh? I changed that, thanks for catching it =P I wrote this all out on paper so copy and pasting from the mirror saved me some time typing.

As for the mechanic what I originally had in mind was more of a ‘as your friends and foes die you get stronger’ with the intention being that if you’re the last one standing, you’re going to be damn hard to kill – hence why I wanted a mechanic that ‘feeds’ off of the dead. I failed in the implementation of the ‘tougher as your allies thin out’ aspect simply because I tried too much to balance them with mdps classes and by doing what I originally wanted they would progress to a dps-tank which ppl would scream ‘op’ over.

I can see how the mechanic would be hard to make use of in stalemates or small scale fights. I’ve considered upping either the range of the ‘harvesting’ ability; making it instant so if someone dies within ‘x’ feet of you, you instantly get ‘x’ points; or increasing the amount harvested. I just feel like if they are too easy to acquire/require no individual thought then the mechanic is just a brainless bonus – hence why I’m not a fan of them being instantly acquired upon an opponents death. I think as compromise what I’ll end up doing is increasing the range, decreasing the cast time, and increasing the amount harvested. Without real models to play with and real situations to explore its all just hypothetical😉

I see your point with Bestial Craving and shall bump the morales around accordingly. Thanks for the comments =D

**Edit: I changed the range, amt harvested, and cast time on the ‘harvesting’ abilities for both the Strigoi and the Battle Pilgrim. Accordingly the mechanic has been edited, tactics have been edited, and I bumped around the morales for the Strigoi

If I were to play an alt after I just hit 80.
    This would be it.
