Bloodied Steppes

v 1.6.1a

The blood-tide has come. For days soldiers fighting over Praag watched as the sky turned red and the river flowed with blood. To the north-east lay the source of all the woes to come – Bastion Stair. A new chapter has begun in the struggle over the lands of Kislev.  Already the blood has begun to cascade down the steps of Bastion Stair unto the steppes of Kislev. Can the Blood God be stopped before he satiates his appetite by drenching the world in blood?

The Bloodied Steppes is a Live Event centered around Bastion Stair and the geographic areas bordering Khorne’s stronghold. Already the taint of Khorne’s blood has affected the creatures of this northern region. The forces of Order and Destruction race to confront the blood-tide, each for their own reasons.

The forces of Order seek to keep their northern ally Kislev stalwart and dedicated to the cause against the Chaos tide. The forces of Destruction seek to goad the Blood God into further action that he may wreck havoc among the world of men. Confront the blood-tide and spill blood in the halls of Bastion Stair!

Blood Arena

As the battle over Bastion Stair enters its most brutal stages, players are drawn into the Blood Arena, a new scenario! More on this to come!

Bloodied Steppes Live Event

While the crimson skies cover northern Kislev and the land is tainted by Khorne’s blood, players have the opportunity to participate in the Bloodied Steppes Live Event! This Live Event has eleven tasks taking players to the far corners of the human realm. The Basic rewards for this Live Event are waist-mounted trophies: The Tainted Animal Paw for Order, and the Pathetic Human’s Hand for Destruction. The Advanced rewards are Live Event jewelry items: The Pallium of the Gryphon Legion for Order, and the Bloodletter’s Skull for Destruction. The Elite Rewards are documents of the utmost importance for the realms! Only time can tell what secrets they hold!

The Royal Gallery of Erengrad

Pillaged in the most recent incursion made by the hordes of Chaos was the Kislevite city of Erengrad. Within this mighty city was the Royal Gallery of the Tsardom of Kislev; and within its gallery majestic works of art by the renowned Kislevite artist whose true identity only the Tsarina knows. Dozens of precious works of art depicting famous battles were plundered and torn apart, scattered to the far corners of the lands. Now it is your task to track down these paintings and reassemble them. As you find pieces of the work of art, they will go to a new section in your Tome of Knowledge. Assemble all the pictures and see what the future holds!

This is another awesome post and a great sounding live event. Of course, Bastion Stair holds a special place in my heart. Would love to have a chance to go in there and kill players. =)

Really like this as a concept. Bastion Stair is one of those totally forgotten and pretty much irrelevant places in WAR, surely something like this could be done with it. Look forward to seeing you explore your ideas.

It may be irrelevant but if you want to do something crazy/ridiculous while indulging in your favorite vice — cookies, alcohol, whatever — it is the perfect place for hi-jinx. I also like to break-in new guild mates by throwing them at a BS run. =)
