Night of the Crooked Moon Guide

1.7.3a consists of the Night of the Crooked Moon live event. This live event has 11 tasks for players to complete while participating in the Night of the Crooked Moon. With the dwarven rangers sending in reports of increased night goblin activity across the World’s Edge Mountains, the dwarves of Karak Ankor have mobilized to counter this threat and suppress it where ever possible. Little can be done to counter the Crooked Moon tribe south of Karak Eight Peaks, but much can be done to hamper the efforts of the northern Night Goblin tribes. Can the forces of Order rally behind the Oathbearers and quell the night goblin risings across the northern World’s Edge Mountains, or will the forces of Destruction succeed in aiding the Bloody Sun Boyz in their push towards Karaz-a-Karak?

Destruction

  • Participate in 5 different conflict public quests in the Dwarf v. Greenskin storyline. [P x3]
  • Participate in 5 Dwarf v. Greenskin pairing locks.
  • Kill 100 dwarf NPCs. The stunties think they can claim these mountains as their own, well it’s time to teach em the power of the WAAAAGH!
  • Kill 25 of each Dwarf career.
  • Kill a Dwarf lord in a public quest. Dem stunties need to learn the power of Gork. Kill one of their toughest to show em they ain’t dat tough.
  • Participate in 15 Halls of Silverspear scenarios. [P]
  • Participate in 15 Crooked Moon Pass scenarios. [P]
  • Win 20 Halls of Silverspear or Crooked Moon Pass scenarios with 500 points.
  • Complete the Rise of the Bloody Sun and Crooked Moon quest. Dem stunties are in da way of da WAAAAGH! and Mork dunt like that. Gork sez itz bad too! Da Bloody Sun Boyz iz da biggest WAAAAGH! ever, and now iz da time to kill da stunties once and for all! Go to Gazbag in the Inevitable City to find out how you can join the war path. / Dem stunties are hidin in all their holes in da mountains. Dey can stay in em if dey want, cuz dem night gobbos are comin’ to join da WAAAAAGH! Fly to the Screeb Stunty Killin’ Warcamp in Mount Bloodhorn and journey into Ekrund to scout the Gates of Ekrund. / Dat hole has mighty big gates, but Gazbag wants us to keep dem stunties busy so dey don’t think of attackin’ the night gobbos marchin from da south. Go to Da War Maker and let Grokk know the greenskins need to double their assault on the hold of Ekrund. After that proceed to Komar to ensure the Dwarves are tangled up in the defenses of the Dragonback Mountains. / Komar lays on the outskirts of the hold of Ekrund, a key outpost for the dwarves. Participate in the struggle for Komar slaying enough dwarves until Gork is satisfied. / Dem stunties are minin’ da rocks in da mountains by their hole of Ekrund. Dey must be some shiney rocks for dem stunties to want em so bad. Journey to Gorgor’s Smash and head north towards the Redhammer Brewery, ambush a caravan carrying the Bitterstone of Ekrund. Take the precious metal to aid the WAAAAGH! in the Marshes of Madness. Distribute the stolen supplies at Bonerender’s Mash and Morth’s Mire. / Da stuntie rocks are gud, but we’z need weapons now, go to the Goblin Armory within the Marshes of Madness to obtain the newest weapons produced. / Dem stunties are holdin’ up inside da hole of Barak Varr near da ocean. Assault da big gates south of the hole to make sure dey iz all tied up. Participate in the siege of Bar Dawazbak. / Journey north to Black Fire Pass to Moogz’s Braw and scour the mountains near this camp for a keg of stuntie black powder. Da night gobbos of Mount Gunbad can’t push through the stuntie lines on the surface. Take the keg to the entrance of the hold and blow it up to block the dwarves inside. / Dem kegs iz powerful stuff! If we can get more, we can blow up all da stunties everywhere! Go back to Black Fire Pass and assault Grimbeard Station raiding it of its black power supply. / Take the seized kegs from Grimbeard Station and plant them around the Empire town of Hindelburg and near Ironbeard’s Assault in the Badlands. / With da stunties hidin in their holes and da supply routes disrupted now the WAAAAGH! can begin to weaken the stuntie defenses between Karak Eight Peaks and Karaz-a-Karak. Dem stunties wont be easy to take down, you’z gonna need some help with da fight. Journey to Gudmud’s Strong-huts in Black Crag and from there make your way to Dammaz Skar to rally the support of the Redfangs. / Our attack on da stunties won’t work if we’z got gobbos workin against us in our backlines. Go to Da Great Big Food Pot in Black Crag and participate in the battle against Skargor da Traitor. / Go to Da Scrappin’ Camp in Thunder Mountain and let Gork take you to the hidden ruins of Cinderfall. Explore the ruins for signs of what brought about the demise of the dwarves. / Dem stunties are lookin for shinies in Thunder Mountain too, but long ago a great big dragon killed dem all. Gork’ll help us scare dem stunties again, but we’z gotta let Gazbag know bout dis and hear his plan. Go to Badrot’s Bashin’ Place in Kadrin Valley and talk to Gazbag about the assault on Karaz-a-Karak. / Da gates of Karaz-a-Karak are sealed with stuntie magic. Da Bloody Sun Boyz can’t attack da stuntie hole without weakening the magical powers in the pass. Gather your allies and journey to the mighty Stonewatch fortress south of Karaz-a-Karak and issue a challenge to the famed Runesmith Rudgrin Runecarver; slay him and take his staff as proof of your deed to Gazbag. Do this and obtain a piece of the stolen work of art “Last Stand of Karak Eight Peaks. [P]
  • Complete the Collection of Heads quest five times.
  • Find all the pieces of the stolen work of art “Last Stand of Karak Eight Peaks”, which are scattered around the land. Their locations are denoted in this guide with [P].

Order

  • Participate in 5 different conflict public quests in the Dwarf v. Greenskin storyline. [P x3]

  • Kill 100 greenskin NPCs. The filth of the greenskin hoard taints the Old World, it is time that the dwarves slaughtered this foul race once and for all.
  • Kill 25 of each Greenskin career.
  • Kill a Greenskin lord in a public quest. The greenskins pride themselves on their toughest and biggest. The time has come to topple their bestest and show them who truly rules the mountains.
  • Participate in 15 Halls of Silverspear scenarios. [P]
  • Participate in 15 Crooked Moon Pass scenarios. [P]
  • Win 20 Halls of Silverspear or Crooked Moon Pass scenarios with 500 points.
  • Complete the Last Drive for the Doomstrikers quest. The greenskins are trying to rally more forces to the Bloody Sun Boyz WAAAAAGH! The dwarves cannot allow the night goblins of the northern tribes unite with the southern greenskins under the Bloody Sun banner. Journey to Thorgrim Grudgebearer in Altdorf to see how you can help the Oathbearers in the struggle against the night goblins. / Your first task is to journey to Grudgekeg’s Guard in Ekrund and delve into the wilderness of Mount Bloodhorn where the greenskins have set up a lookout outpost overlooking dwarven caravan routes. Scout this outpost to see any recent activity and put it to the torch. / Ekrund is crucial for its production of bitterstone, and the mines of Ekrund are fueled by the beer of the local Redhammer Brewery; this junction also serves as a railhead for Undgrin Ankor. Go to the Redhammer Brewery to secure it against assaulting greenskins, once it has been secured travel to the town of Komar which is besieged by greenskins. / Komar is locked in a vicious struggle with the Bloody Sun Boyz as they pummel the town with rocks from above and assault it from across the canyon. Participate in the defense of Komar slaying as many greenskins as it takes to turn the tide. / With the railroads around the Redhammer Brewery sabotaged little choice has been left to the dwarves but to carry their supplies on their backs. Go to Skalfson’s Watch to obtain the latest shipment of Bugman’s Ale and take it to the weary miners deep in the Marshes of Madness at Murdogh’s Hold and the defenders of Barak Varr at Goldpeak’s Warcamp. / Barak Varr’s lifeline is the ocean. With its landward entrances under assault by the greenskins, the hope of Barak Varr lays in Empire and dwarven ships sailing into the port. Go to the Lighthouse of Barak Varr and make sure it is in dwarven hands and continuing to light the way for relief ships. / The southern accesses of Barak Varr are under assault. Bar Dawazbak is the gate of Barak Varr and it has been breached by greenskin war engines. Participate in the struggle over this key location and hold back the greenskin hordes. / The Night Goblins of Mount Gunbad have begun to increase their assaults on the Oathbearer’s hold at the mouth of the tunnel leading into Mount Gunbad in the Badlands. Travel to Norrikson’s Excavation and obtain a keg of deadly black powder and deliver it to the Oathbearers within Mount Gunbad to aide them in the defense of their position. / With Gunbad secure for the time being, the dwarves must turn their attention to the north to Black Fire Pass which is under assault by the greenskins. The Bloody Sun Boyz have renewed their assault on this location hoping to break through the pass allowing the night goblins of Redeye Mountain a route south through the empire. Journey to Grimbeard Station and fight for its control – if the dwarves can hold this station they can continue to supply Black Fire Pass. / Kolaz Umgal is a key mining post in Black Fire Pass, and of important note is the massive stockpile of black powder within its walls, which the greenskins of recent have begun to covet. Go to Kolaz Umgal and obtain some of the volatile kegs of black powder, use them to destroy the siege weapons of the greenskins assaulting Kolaz Umgal and then journey north to purge the land of a recent Nurgle infestation near the greenskin camp of Da Big Burn. / With the caravan routes from Ekrund, Gunbad, and the Marshes of Madness somewhat secure, it is time for the Oathbearers to rally in the World’s Edge Mountains and push south to prepare to meed the Crooked Moon goblins. Go to Garvin’s Brace in Kadrin Valley and from there travel to Karak Kadrin across the valley. Enlist the aid of the deadly slayers in the struggle against the night goblins. / The town of Grung Grimaz is a key position flanking the pass to Karaz-a-Karak and it has fallen to the hands of the dark elgi. Participate in the struggle to reclaim this town and secure the flank of Karaz-a-Karak. / Push south into Thunder Mountain and meet with Bari Hlavengr at Palik Watch to discuss the lost gromril cache of Thunder Mountain. You will be teleported to the fallen hold in Cinderfall where you will attempt to scour the ruins for lost supplies of gromril. / With Thunder Mountain and the gromril shipments secure, the Oathbearers can make the final push south into Black Crag to confront the night goblin horde. Go to Hammerstriker Point in Black Crag and from there journey south to Gav’s Oathbearers to rally your allies for the final push against the night goblins. / The night goblins are following the calling of Mork being issued forth by Gazbag’s decree by his underling in Butcher’s Pass. Travel to Butcher’s Pass and issue a challenge to call forth Magrog Moongit. Slay him and take his staff as proof of your deed, do this and obtain a piece of the stolen work of art ‘Last Stand of Karak Eight Peaks. [P]
  • Complete the Collection of Heads quest five times.
  • Find all the pieces of the stolen work of art “Last Stand of Karak Eight Peaks”, which are scattered around the land. Their locations are denoted in this guide with [P].
