Turbulent Winds Guide

v1.8.5a consists of the Turbulent Winds live event. With the forces of Slaanesh feeding off of the suffering of the forces of Order, Slaanesh is committing more forces to the struggle – and bearing the brunt of the attack are the worn out and weary soldiers of Kislev. Cascading down the icy slopes of the Norse mountains is a strange warmth causing the Kislevite soldiers stationed along the frontier to fall into a false sense of comfort. Sensing the anomaly in the north, the Kislevite commanders prepare for a second onslaught. Key in their preparations is fueling the winds of Ice Magic to counter the unnatural warmth which is no doubt being fueled by the sadistic forces of Slaanesh.

Order

  • Participate in the Avalanche Pass scenario 20 times.  The only way to find the root of the foul winds is to delve into the mountains of Norsca and strike at the forces of Chaos there. This unfortunately means the men and women of Order must delve into the unforgiving Jotunheim Mountains – traversing passes where countless expeditions have vanished. [P]
  • Win the Avalanche Pass scenario with 500 points 5 times.
  • Slay 100 enemy players. The only course of action to stop the tide of Chaos forces is to slay as many of them as possible. Though in doing this the forces of Order are only feeding the appetites of Khorne and Slaanesh, it must be done.
  • Kill the Slaanesh Painbringer in Praag. Slaanesh has sent forth a twisted mage to siphon the suffering at the heart of Kislev in order to unleash it upon the forces of Order at the appropriate time. [P]
  • Participate in the Eltharion’s Plaza scenario 20 times. Ulthuan  still is under brutal assault as the Druchii unleash suffering across all corners of the isle in an attempt to whip Slaanesh into an unquenchable lust for pain. Join the forces of Order in Yvresse and help stop the tide of suffering in the walls of Tor  Yvresse. [P]
  • Win the Eltharion’s Plaza scenario with 500 points 5 times.
  • Collect 25 Iceshard Essence in the Jotunheim Mountains. Unlike the eight winds of Magic studied by the Asur and the colleges of the Empire, Kislev only studies Ice Magic. With the anomaly of the cascading purple winds of warmth from the Norse mountains, all signs point towards the emergence of a magical force of Slaanesh’s mages. To counter this the Tsarina has called forth for all her valiant warriors to travel into the depths of the Norse mountains and harvest as much Iceshard Essence as possible to fuel a new class of acolytes studying Ice Magic.
  • Find all the pieces of the stolen work of art “Frigid Advance.” Their hidden locations are marked in this guide with [P]. Put the work of art back together to gain a glimpse of what the future holds for WAR.

Destruction

  • Participate in the Avalanche Pass scenario 20 times.  The forces of Order have begun to prod into the Jotunheim Mountains seeking the source of Slaanesh’s magic. They know not what they walk into – wait for them to delve  deep into the mountains and then ambush them cutting off all hopes of retreat! [P]
  • Win the Avalanche Pass scenario with 500 points 5 times.
  • Slay 100 enemy players. Slaanesh’s commitment in this war is not yet solidified. He longs for more suffering to satisfy his sadistic pleasures. Kill as many enemy players as possible to feed Slaanesh’s lust.
  • Participate in the Eltharion’s Plaza scenario 20 times. Ulthuan  shall be the fount of suffering that fuels the hunger of Khorne and Slaanesh. Join the forces of House Uthorin in an assault against the last bastion of the Shining Guard and assault Tor Yvresse. [P]
  • Win the Eltharion’s Plaza scenario with 500 points 5 times.
  • Collect 25 Essence of suffering in Yvresse. The Asur bear the suffering of many millennia, their souls bear the perfect source of pain to fuel the dark magic of the mages of Slaanesh. Head to Ulthuan and extract the Essence of Suffering from the elves that it may be used to usher in a new host of Painbringers.
  •  Find all the pieces of the stolen work of art “Frigid Advance.” Their hidden locations are marked in this guide with [P]. Put the work of art back together to gain a glimpse of what the future holds for WAR.
