What was once a land of petty outlaws and vagrants unworthy of the attention of mighty monarchs and great powers, has in these trying times found a role in the tides of war. While the Borderlands are too politically fragmented to act as a power in the Old World, one principality has risen in the shadow of the war and proven its military prowess against the goblin hordes and towns of men. Though there may be some who view the hiring of ill-reputed Border Princes as distasteful, the current struggle between the forces of Order and Destruction is unforgiving and at times it seems that either faction may be on the brink of defeat. If a sack of gold is enough to tip the scales to one side so that it may prevail, is not the cost worth it?

As the war in the Age of Reckoning carries on between the forces of Order and Destruction, a new force enters the fray in full might. Gone are the days of a token ogre body guard seen outside a commander’s tent, for the ogres seek to sate their hungers on the battlefield. A hunger for flesh and violence has led the ogres to cross the World’s Edge Mountains in droves, and now more than ever this is possible as Kislev and the dwarfen kingdoms find themselves too busy to properly guard the passes that they held for centuries past. However, the ogres’ loyalty is about as firm as their gut, one can never be certain which side of the battlefield the ogres will be the next day. The struggle between the forces of Order and Destruction carries on with no end in sight, and the arrival of the ogres only adds more bodies to the meat grinder.

For years the great war in the Age of Reckoning has been waged as the forces of Destruction tirelessly crash upon the defenders of Order. Driven by greed, the Norse warriors found themselves caught between the two factions as they fought for their ideologies. Much as the tides ebb and flow, the Norse support sways from faction to faction leaning towards the larger purse. So long as there are warriors to fight, the struggle between the forces of Order and Destruction wages on. The Norse have joined the struggle, but their loyalties are ever fluctuating…
