Winter Harvest Guide

v1.9.2a consists of the Winter Harvest live event. The strain of war has left Kislev unable to patrol High Pass with any reasonable degree of security. This coupled with a harsh winter has led to the pass being abandoned to the creatures who roam its rocky crags. The Raven Host has been using High Pass to funnel troops south from the Chaos Wastes into the lands of Kislev and the Empire, but the increase of large hungry creatures has made High Pass unsafe for all. With a particularly harsh winter setting in, it is up to you and your allies to drive back the hungry enemy and stock up your larders for what is to come.
Winter Harvest
Winter has always been a harsh time of year, but the northern lands are no stranger to winter and the harshness it brings. The men of Kislev rely on a steady grain trade from Talabecland to keep their larders full, while the warriors of the Chaos Wastes and Norsca sate themselves on flesh – mostly from beasts, but in the darkest days of winter all men are beasts. This winter however, the taint of sulfur is not the only thing blowing from the east. A large migration of hungry mouths has torn the countryside apart, sinking its hungering teeth into anything that moves. The forces of Order and Destruction alike are fighting a new foe…
Winter Harvest Intro
“Hold the wagons in tight formation. Keep your eyes on the horizon, you see so much as a rock fall you alert me!” a Kislevite officer shouted orders to his men as they entered rockier terrain and mountains drew nearer. The officer looked back at the tree line of the Dukhyls Forest as it faded behind them.
“Worry not Yevan, we are better suited to the open plains than in a forest,” a Gryphon lancer said riding up to the officer.
“We are easily spotted on the open plains, and there is no where to draw a defensive line,” the officer Yevan replied.
