Mechanic – Sinister Determination

  • You feed off of the weakness of your foes. You have a meter of 0-100 Sinister Determination. Your abilities either build or consume Sinister Determination. Every 20 Sinister Determination your damage is increased by 4%, for a total of 20% damage increase at 100 Sinister Determination and your chance to critically hit by 2%, for a total of 10% critical hit bonus at 100 Sinister Determination; however your magical resistances are decreased by 5%, for a total penalty of 25% magical resistance at 100 Sinister Determination.

Mastery Trees

  • Tullaris – A focus on directing your attention at one foe.
  • Malekith – A focus on wide-spread slaughter.
  • Har Ganeth – A focus on weakening your foes further.

R1. Dagger Toss <Core Ability> A basic throwing attack that inflicts ‘x’ damage. 20AP, 1s Cast, No CD, 65ft Range

R1. Sinister Strike <Tullaris> You lash at your enemy with all your spite dealing ‘x’ damage. This ability builds 10 Sinister Determination. 30AP, Instant Cast, No CD

R2. Quartering <Tullaris> You cut across your target from head-to-toe and side-to-side, you deal ‘x’ damage to your target twice. This ability builds 15 Sinister Determination. 30AP, Instant Cast, No CD.

R3. Slavery’s Bonds <Har Ganeth> You attack your target with a barbed chain, intent on catching them as a slave for the mines of Har Ganeth. You deal ‘x’ damage to your target and reduce their movement speed by 40% for 5 seconds. This ability builds 10 Sinister Determination. 30AP, Instant Cast, 10s CD.

R4. Malevolence <Malekith> You swing your sword in a narrow attack in front of you, hitting up to three targets within 25 feet in front of you for ‘x’ damage. This ability builds 15 Sinister Determination. 35AP, Instant Cast, 3s CD.

R5. Sundered Body <Har Ganeth> You drive your tainted blade into your enemy’s body, causing them to suffer ‘x’ damage and increasing the build times of their abilities by 1 second; this effect will last 10 seconds. This ability costs 15 Sinister Determination. No Cost, Instant Cast, 15s CD.

R6. Broad Strikes <Tullaris> You prepare yourself for an forward thrust, increasing your chance to parry attacks by 5% for 10 seconds. This ability costs 10 Sinister Determination. No Cost, Instant Cast, 10s CD.

R7. Lambs to the Butcher <Malekith> You brutally swing your greatsword in front of you causing great suffering, you hit up to 8 targets within 30 feet in front of you for ‘x’ damage. This ability will build 5 Sinister Determination per target hit. 40AP, Instant Cast, 4s CD.

R8. Dark Repute <Har Ganeth> Your sinister reputation precedes you. You slash at your enemy dealing ‘x’ damage and causing them to lose 100 points of morale. This ability builds 5 Sinister Determination. 40AP, Instant Cast, 10s CD.

R8. Definitive Halt <Archetype Morale 1> You slam your weapon into the ground, reducing the movement speed of your target by 50% for 10 seconds, your target must be within 30 feet of you.

R9. Unconditional Slaughter <Malekith> You spin in a vicious circle of death hacking at all enemies within 30 feet of you dealing ‘x’ damage. This ability costs 25 Sinister Determination. No Cost, Instant Cast, No CD.

R10. Bloodcall <Core Ability> Detaunts all enemies within 30 feet, making them to hate you less and causing them to deal 50% less damage to you for 15 seconds. If you attack anyone you have detaunted, the effect will immediately end. 20AP, Instant Cast, 15s CD

R10. Shatter Guard <Core Ability> You slam your weapon into the enemy tank causing them to take ‘x’ damage and removing the Guard effect they have on an ally. 30AP, Instant Cast, 10s CD

R11. Dark Blessings <Racial Tactic> Direct heals cast on you will recover 10% more health.

R12. Shatter Chains <Core Ability> You hack at the bonds that bind you, freeing you of any snares or roots that may be holding you down. For the next 10 seconds, snares and roots will have no effect on you. 45AP, Instant Cast, 60s CD

R12. Force of Will <Archetype Morale 2> You stare down your opponent draining 200 of their Action Points into yourself, and reducing their strength by 160 for 30 seconds.

R13. Heavy Plating <Archetype Tactic> Your physical armor cap is increased by 5% but your damage output is reduced by 10%.

R14. Chopping Block <Tullaris> You step behind your target setting them up for their execution, you deal ‘x’ damage to your target and ignore 50% of their armor. Target must be facing away from you. This ability builds 10 Sinister Determination. 40AP, Instant Cast, No CD.

R15. Thriving on Fear <Tactic> Dark Repute generates 5 additional Sinister Determination per 50 morale destroyed and destroys up to 150 points of morale.

R16. Determined Guardian <Archetype Morale 1> You gain a 1200 damage absorb shield.

R16. Cowards Fight From Afar <Har Ganeth> With the greatest spite, you cut across your opponents arms causing them to take ‘x’ damage and reducing the range of their ranged abilites by 50 feet for 10 seconds. This ability costs 10 Sinister Determination. No Cost, Instant Cast, 10s CD.

R17. Alignment of Naggaroth <Racial Tactic> Spiritual resistance increased by 252.

R18. Executioner’s Will <Core Ability> You are fueled by your Sinister Determination, you consume all your Sinister Determination gaining 10 Action Points per 10 Sinister Determination consumed. No Cost, Instant Cast, 60s CD.

R19. Tempered Blade <Archetype Tactic> Increases your Weapon Skill by ‘x’.

R20. Furious Onslaught <Archetype Morale 2> Your auto-attack speed is increased by 50% for 15 seconds.

R20. Son of Naggaroth <Malekith> You are marked as the chosen of the druchii, your toughness is increased by ‘x’ for every enemy within 25  feet of you for 10 seconds. This ability costs 25 Sinister Determination. No Cost, Instant Cast, 15s CD.

R21. Taking You With Me <Tactic> If you are knocked down, your enemy is also knocked down; if they are immune to knockdowns, they lose 100 Action Points.

R23. Bathing in Blood <Racial Tactic> Anytime you kill an enemy, you will regain 471 health over 9 seconds.

R24. Inspirational Aura <Archetype Morale 3> Your group’s Action Point regeneration is increased by 20% for 20 seconds if they are within 100 feet of you.

R25. Gromril Splintmail <Archetype Tactic> You take 20% less damage from targets within 30 feet of you.

R25. Through and Through <Tullaris> You drive your sword at your target dealing ‘x’ damage. This ability has a 25% lower chance to be blocked. This ability will build 20 Sinister Determination if used on a tank. 35AP, Instant Cast, 3s CD.

R27. Unrepairable <Tactic> Cowards Fight From Afar now lasts 20 seconds.

R28. Dire Assault <Executioner Morale 1> You deal 1000 damage to your target.

R29. Tranquil Defender <Archetype Tactic> You are immune to knockbacks.

R30. Morathi’s Life Drain <Har Ganeth> You coat your blade with the cursed blood of Khaine and cut at your enemy dealing ‘x’ damage and causing their abilities to cost 20% more Action Points for 10 seconds. This ability costs 20 Sinister Determination. No Cost, Instant Cast, 10s CD.

R31. Practice Makes Perfect <Tactic> Anytime you parry an attack your chance to parry is increased by 5% for 10 seconds.

R32. Suppressing the Weak <Executioner Morale 2> You deal 1,200 damage to all targets 30 feet in front of you.

R33. Eternal Sentry <Tactic> Son of Naggaroth’s cool-down is decreased by 5 seconds and its cost by 5 Sinister Determination.

R35. Dark Auspices <Core Ability> You are protected by the enchantments of the Witch Queen, for the next 10 seconds you are immune to crowd-control effects. 50 AP, Instant Cast, 60s CD.

R35. Grim Satisfaction <Tactic> Guard Shatter will now build 20 Sinister Determination.

R36. Fed on Asur Flesh <Executioner Morale 3> Your movement speed is increased by 40% for 10 seconds.

R37. Blood-letting <Tactic> All your abilities have a 25% chance to deal an additional ‘x’ corporeal damage over 3 seconds.

R39. Demands for More <Tactic> All abilities that build Sinister Determination have a 50% chance to build 5 more Sinister Determination.

R40. Storm of Blades <Archetype Morale> You deal 1,800 damage to all enemies within 30 feet of you.

R40. Ice Blade of Naggarond <Malekith> Your blade is infused with the icy winds of Naggarond, you cut at up to 8 targets 30 feet in front of you causing them to suffer ‘x’ elemental damage every second for 6 seconds. This ability will build 5 Sinister Determination per target hit. 45 AP, Instant Cast, 5s CD.

R3. Built-up Hatred <Tactic> Sinister Strike deals 20% more damage and costs 5 Action Points less.

R5. Feeding on the Weak – You cut at your opponent and feast on the spilled blood and torn flesh, you deal ‘x’ damage to your target and your strength is increased by ‘x’ for 10 seconds. This ability costs 15 Sinister Determination. No Cost, Instant Cast, 10s CD

R7. Plentiful Fodder <Tactic> Feeding on the Weak now costs 15 Action Points and builds 15 Sinister Determination.

R9. Feeble Grasp – You strike your opponents weapon fiercely causing them to lose their grip. You deal ‘x’ damage and disarm your target for 4 seconds. This ability costs 25 Sinister Determination. No Cost, Instant Cast, 15s CD.

R11. Deadly Precision <Tactic> Your chance to critically hit with melee attacks is increased by 10%.

R13. Scourge of Ulthuan – You lunge at your target and drive your sword into them with all your might dealing ‘x’ damage. This ability costs 40 Sinister Determination. No Cost, Instant Cast, 5s CD.

R15. Savage Execution <Morale 4> You deal 1,200 damage twice to your target.

Malekith

R3. Ill Will <Tactic> Malevolence hits two additional targets.

R5. Enslaved Soul – You fill your target with a dark hex that clings to their soul causing them to suffer ‘x’ spirit damage every second for 6 seconds; upon ending this powerful hex will burst your targets soul causing them an all enemies within 25 feet to take ‘x’ damage. This ability builds 15 Sinister Determination. No Cost, Instant Cast, 10s CD.

R7. Freedom’s Hope Destroyed <Tactic> Enslaved Soul’s area-of-effect burst deals 50% more damage but the ability now costs 10 more Sinister Determination.

R9. Scion of the Dark Winds – You call down the dark winds to funnel through you. All targets, friend and foe, within 25 feet take ‘x’ damage per second. This ability costs 10 Sinister Determination per second. No Cost, 10s Cast, 20s CD.

R11. Powered by Dhar <Tactic> Scion of the Dark Winds’ range is increased to 35 feet.

R13. Pools of Despair – You viciously slash at your target causing them to suffer ‘x’ damage and causing their tainted blood to pool on the spot they were standing; this blood puddle will deal ‘x’ corporeal damage per second to anyone within 20 feet of it and lasts 10 seconds. This ability costs 50 Sinister Determination. No Cost, Instant Cast, 10s CD.

R15. Shadows of Anlec <Morale 4> You deal 1,400 damage to all targets 40 feet in front of you.

Har Ganeth

R3. Cries of the Enslaved <Tactic> All Har Ganeth abilities have a 20% chance to regain 20 Action Points.

R5. Death Sentence – You mark your target for their fate among the cytharai, you deal ‘x’ damage to your target and cause them to take 15% more damage for 10 seconds. This ability builds 15 Sinister Determination. 35AP, Instant Cast, 10s CD.

R7. Blood for the Hag Queen <Tactic> Morathi’s Life Drain lasts 20 seconds but costs 5 Action Points more.

R9. Flesh Eater – You drag the serrated edge of your blade across your enemy’s exposed flesh. You deal ‘x’ damage to your target and decrease their critical hit chance by 10%. This ability builds 10 Sinister Determination. No Cost, Instant Cast, 5s CD

R11. Lethal Contagion <Tactic> Flesh Eater also increases your target’s chance to be critically hit by 10%.

R13. Unwilling Recipient – You attack your target with a powerful rune of Khaine infused on your blade; you deal ‘x’ damage to your target and cause all healing effects used on them for the next 10 seconds to be 50% less effective. This ability costs 20 Sinister Determination. No Cost, Instant Cast, 10s CD.

R15. Bonds of Servitude <Morale 4> You root all enemies within 25 feet of you for 10 seconds; if the root is broken the enemy is snared by 50% for 15 seconds.

    No just kidding, but I’d totally roll this class.

      Keep in mind the damage values wouldn’t be extraordinary. The class would be designed around weapon skill and armor penetration with the intent that it would be of greatest use against tanks.

        I lost interest in this game :(, got tired of grinding, didn’t have much fun anymore.
        I expect this to be like what happened in Spring, I’ll be back in winter probably 😛
